鹿児島県立松陽高校音楽科ピアノ専攻、大分県立芸術文化短期大学音楽科ピアノ専攻卒業。卒業後、鹿児島県教職員として採用され音楽の教鞭をとる。第17.18.19.20回南日本Jr.ピアノコンクール、第47回南日本音楽コンクール入選。霧島国際音楽ホールみやまコンセール主催演奏会童謡あらかると、学校公演他、声楽・器楽演奏家の各種コンクールやリサイタル等の伴奏ピアニストとしても数多く出演。ソロ・室内楽等幅広く活動し研鑽を積んでいる。鹿児島リベロアンサンブルピアニスト。
篠笛奏者として高い評価を得ており、無形文化財伝統行事奉納演奏、天孫降臨霧島祭ゲスト演奏、鹿児島県明治維新150周年記念演奏会、台湾・ヨーロッパ国際文化交流演奏会、ロンドン英国教会演奏会、ドイツハンブルク音楽祭招待演奏、オーストラリアパースJapan Festivalゲスト演奏他、日本を代表して国内外にて数多く出演。多様なジャンルのアーティストと共演しCDレコーディングにも多数参加している。2022年、2025年リサイタル開催。
Shinobue player Rumiko Setoguchi
Born in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan
Graduated from Kagoshima Prefectural Shoyo High School, majoring in piano music, and Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture, majoring in piano music. After graduation, he was employed as a teacher in Kagoshima Prefecture, teaching music. Selected for the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th Southern Japan Junior Piano Competitions, and the 47th Southern Japan Music Competition. He has also performed as an accompaniment pianist at various competitions and recitals for vocal and instrumental performers, including the Children's Songs Arakaruto concert sponsored by Kirishima International Music Hall Miyama Concert Hall, and school performances. He is a pianist with the Kagoshima Libero Ensemble, and is active in a wide range of activities, including solo and chamber music, and is honing his skills.
He has been highly acclaimed as a Shinobue player and has performed in many venues both at home and abroad, representing Japan, including in the dedication performances at traditional intangible cultural heritage events, the Tenson Korin Kirishima Festival, the Kagoshima Prefecture Meiji Restoration 150th Anniversary Concert, the Taiwan-Europe International Cultural Exchange Concert, the London Anglican Church Concert, an invited performance at the Hamburg Music Festival in Germany, and a guest performance at the Japan Festival in Perth, Australia. He has performed with artists from a variety of genres and participated in many CD recordings. A recital will be held in June 2022.2025
